Virginia Park Lodge is an 18th century hunting estate set on 100 acres, within the heart of the Cavan countryside. Privately owned by world renowned Chef Richard Corrigan, the estate is available for exclusive hires, short stays, unique weddings, parties & corporate events. Virginia Park Lodge’s extensive grounds are comprised of wild woodlands, smaller landscape woodlands, manicured lawns & gardens and a series of polytunnels for year round vegetable growth use by our talent team of chefs.

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced Gardener with good time management skills and excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to take ownership of all the gardens surrounding the large country house. This position would suit a knowledgeable gardener with private estate and or Country House/Hotel gardening. Fruit and vegetable growing experience is essential alongside the ability to run a kitchen garden.

Applicants must have experience with a range of garden machinery including ride-on mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised horticultural qualification, have good plant identification skills, experience of managing large lawns, knowledge of pruning techniques and seasonal garden management. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated and physically fit Gardener to demonstrate their abilities in a beautiful part of the country.
